What I like

• Reading. Books of all kinds, and long articles I never quite finish in one sitting.
• Music. Listening to it constantly, and playing it when I can.
• Guitar. Still learning, and enjoying it more than I’m good at it.

Tech I’m into

• LLMs and how to use them well. Especially when to hand work to a model and when doing it yourself is the point.
• Evaluating LLM systems. Test harnesses, prompt variants, and finding out whether a model’s decisions are actually good.
• AI coding tools and agents. What they do to the way we build software, and how to measure it honestly.
• Running models locally. Tinkering with local models and small experiments, like getting a model to play a game.
• Tools, protocols and abstractions. What a good abstraction hides, and what it costs you.

All the thoughts and opinions here are mine. I use AI heavily to help draft posts, but I keep strong editorial control: I shape, edit and sign off on everything before it goes up.
